Schneider Named to State Team; Weiss Picks Up Accolade

Senior Chris Schneider added to his 1st Team Morris County Coaches All County honors by being named to the 2nd Team All Morris Star-Ledger Team. Bigger yet, Chris was named 3rd Team Group 3, making him an All-Stater. Senior teammate Jon Weiss was recognized by the Star-Ledger also, being named 2nd Team All Morris. Super season, seniors!

MOXC GIRLS GO UNDEFEATED 7-0 AND WIN AMERICAN DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP; BOYS GO 5-2 TO FINISH 3RD

MOXC girls defeated Sparta and Morris Hills in the last regular season meet of 2011 on Tuesday 10/4. The girls finished undefeated with a 7-0 record, the first time since 1999 that the girls have had a perfect record. The girls last won the conference in back-to-back years 2003-04. This accomplishment goes on top of the girls putting Coach Sulley over the 200 win mark in the first meet.

Marissa Karl won for the Marauders, breaking her own school record when she crossed the line in 20:15. The course being run this year is slightly longer due to wet conditions in one field. Her time converts to a 19:52. The girls also broke the school team time record on the course, more on that in the next blog.

The boys were led by Scott Rennalls again, but the team lowered its team total best for the season and looks forward to further improvement when they hit the course again on October 20 for the NJAC Conference Championship Race.
