Girls Show Depth in 8th Place Showing at County Relays

The girls' track & field squad showed their overall depth at the County Relays by placing in the top 6 in 10 of the 16 events. The team took 8th place overall in the meet with 31 points.
Senior Jacinta Ford was on 4 scoring teams, 2 of which took bronze medals. Jr. Camille Inglese likewise took 2 bronze medals, was on a 5th place team and had a long jump over 16', while soph teammate Armani Blair also grabbed 2 3rds and was on a 5th-place team. Laura Goodfriend and Val Zielinski were also on 3 teams each that scored for the Ladies. Ingrid Nimoh and Gianna Pastena were on 2 scoring teams.
The 4 x 100 not only took a 3rd but also broke the school record. The team of Blair, Inglese, Sam Tavalare, and Ford ran 50.45 to break the old 50.9 time.
Two other bronze medal efforts were turned in by the defending champ Sprint Med team of Inglese, Blair, Nimoh, and Zielinski with a season best 4:19.6; and the high jump team of Pastena, Goodfriend, and Ford.
